Where is my diary stored?

Only on your phone. Talkies has no account and no server.

How do I move my diary to a new phone?

Open Settings, then Your data, then Back up everything. Send the JSON file to yourself. On the new phone, open Settings, then Restore a backup, and choose the file.

A film is missing

Open Settings and tap Refresh film list. If the film is still missing, search for it and add it yourself with your own poster photo.

Film details are wrong

Film details come from Wikidata and Wikipedia. On the film page, tap Correct these details to fix them at the source. The fix reaches Talkies at the next refresh.

Can I import from another app?

Yes. Settings, then Import CSV, reads Talkies and Letterboxd CSV files.
